Legislative leadership is making plans to provide a safe environment for members during the upcoming 93rd General Assembly. As the keeper of the legislative planned activities calendar, the State Chamber of Commerce has been informed that if we remain under the current level of the COVID-19 emergency it is unlikely that legislative leadership would encourage any formal planned activities during the upcoming legislative session. It is simply not possible to create and apply sufficient safety protocols to host and conduct planned activities in a way that would not be contrary to the safety efforts planned for the official legislative hearings and floor sessions. Therefore, it is advisable that any and all legislative planned activities be placed on hold until further notice.

With this in mind, we would discourage you from making financial commitments for planned activities that may not occur. If the COVID-19 pandemic ends or conditions are sufficiently improved prior to the general session, then the situation will be reassessed at that time.
